Dia was born into a musical family in California. She has studied and played piano professionally since 1983. But, she never imagined herself to be fronting the bands until 2003 when the lead singer was nowhere and the performance had to start. Dia agreed to take up the slack and sing “I Fall to Pieces”. That split-second decision turned out to have long-lasting consequences: After crowd have demanded more of Dia’s singing, Dia was approached by a Las Vegas star, and she has not left the front of the stage and the songs of Patsy Cline since then.
Like Patsy, Dia’s talent is a God-given gift touching hearts of young and old alike, rather than a result of voice training. She sings Patsy Cline’s songs in the original keys and style, and her renditions are so authentic that she has been asked to stop singing in the middle of a song by folks who just could not believe they were not listening to Patsy’s recording.
